Dr. Ulli Biechele
Ulli Biechele is an expert on gender and sexual diversity. He cooperates with us as a coach and trainer for topics on unconscious bias and diversity and inclusion for human resources in public administrations and businesses.
The focus of his work is the psychological counseling of individuals, couples, families, and organizations as well as educational work with groups. He focuses on the lives of LGBTQ+ people, their mental and sexual health as well as ways to better integrate them into work and education. Since 1994 he has been active in adult education. In addition, he qualified and he advises in youth work as well as in health care and in public administrations.
After studying psychology in Mainz Ulli was working in psychiatric research. As a member of the Gay Research Group at the University of Munich, he published and studied about the lives of gay men. He received his doctorate degree at Basel University in 2004.
Ulli is co-founder and member of the board of the association “PLUS. Psychological counseling for lesbians and gays / Rhein-Neckar e.V. Located in Mannheim, PLUS is a major institution offering psychosocial services in the LGBTQ+ community in the Rhine-Neckar region. Since 2015 he also heads KOSIMA, a PLUS e.V. run Competence Centre for sexual health.
Ulli lives in Mannheim.
